Paradise Junk Halong Bay Review by Paradise Cruises

All correspondence and communication dealt with professionally and promptly. Meeting and pick up times where right on time. All staff both on board and the administration where very friendly, professional and provided great service at all times. Was so thrilled they went out of their way to decorate our cabin and bake a cake for our 25th Wedding anniversary, that was a lovely touch.

The cruise was wonderful, however we were disappointed we were unable to visit Cat Ba island. We were told it was due to bad weather however on our flight home we spoke to another passenger on different cruise and they did visit Cat Ba island on the same day we got told the weather was bad.

The only problem was the inadequate sound system for the movie in the evening, it had a lot of background noise and static and you just couldn’t hear the movie.

Not really negative just a suggestion that the tables are not arranged on board as per booking numbers, particularly when you have single person booking a tour, most people want to meet and greet the other passengers and don’t really want to sit by themselves. However, it was noted that after we invited a single passenger to come join us at our table the staff onboard quickly accommodated him and re-arranged the seating so he could join us.

Service is quite good, and food is good, rooms are clean.

There was no squid fishing which we were really looking forward to.

No cocktails on arrival, driving very scary getting there and back, pollution on the bay ruined views.

Lack of concern when one off the occupied kayaking boat was leaking an staff on main boat seemed uncaring about the rescue of the passengers, who where rescued by another passenger seeking help from one boat member who was out on a kayak boat, this is a big safety issue, for someone like myself who does not swim
